Rising Leader Scholarship

We welcome your application for an AAUW York Branch Rising Leader Scholarship.

The American Association of University Women is the oldest women’s organization in America. It is dedicated to promoting equity for women, education and self-development over the life span, and positive societal change.

Our AAUW York Branch offers a $2,500 scholarship to support local women in their pursuit of continuing education at York County academic institutions. Selection is based on leadership, academic promise, clarity of goals, and future potential.

All application components are due by March 31, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements:

Woman who is a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the USA.
Resident of York County for at least one year.
Must be a senior attending a high school located in York County.
Student must be planning to attend an accredited college or university.

Application Requirements:

Complete the Scholarship Application Form.
Submit the most current official high school transcript.
Submit a Future Goals Essay.
