The Doris Cohen Memorial Scholarship
We welcome your application for an AAUW York Branch undergraduate scholarship, the Doris Cohen Memorial Scholarship.
The American Association of University Women is the oldest women’s organization in America. It is dedicated to promoting equity for women, education and self-development over the life span, and positive societal change.
Our AAUW York Branch offers a $2,500.00 scholarship to help financially support local women in their pursuit of continuing education at York County academic institutions. Selection is based on financial need, academic promise, clarity of goals and future potential.
All application components are due by April 20, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Woman who is a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the USA.
- Resident of York County for at least one year.
- Attending an accredited institution of higher learning located in York County.
- Enrolled as full-time or part-time undergraduate student for the next academic year in a Baccalaureate, Associate, or equivalent degree program.
- Completed at least 30 hours of academic credits toward the intended degree.
Application Requirements:
- Complete the Scholarship Application Form: general, academic, financial need.
- Attach a “Future Plans Essay.”
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a recent professor or instructor.
- Submit official transcripts from the Registrar’s Office
